Do Good to Earth

Our Commitment to a Greener Future

At XEATEA, we believe by doing good for the Earth while sharing the beauty of Chinese tea culture. Our journey toward sustainability starts with thoughtful choices, balancing product quality, packaging, and environmental impact. While we are in the early stages, we are actively exploring more ecofriendly options for both our packaging and products.

Tea as a Sustainable Product

In Chinese tea culture, one tea bag or a small amount of loose leaves can be brewed multiple times, allowing you to enjoy cups and cups from the same tea. This approach not only brings out different layers of flavor but also reduces waste, making tea one of the most sustainable beverages.

Our Packaging Choices

We use a mix of recyclable materials and multi-layered packaging to maintain the freshness and quality of our delicate teas. Here’s how we’re doing it right now:

  • Recyclable Kraft Boxes

Our kraft paper boxes are made from FSC-certified, recyclable materials, ensuring responsible sourcing and reducing waste while maintaining the freshness of our teas.

  • Biodegradable Tea Bags

We use PLA-based tea bags that decompose faster than traditional materials, minimizing the impact of microplastics.

  • Compostable Pouch Challenges

While we've explored compostable options, they don't yet offer the necessary durability to protect our teas from moisture and light. We are committed to finding better solutions that balance eco-friendliness with quality.

Have ideas or feedback? We’d love to hear from you as we work to make our packaging better for the planet.

Used tea leaves make great compost. Just add them to your garden pile, and they'll turn into nutrient-rich soil for your plants.

  • Kitchen deodorizer

Tea leaves can work wonders as a natural deodorizer. Dry them out and place them in your fridge, kitchen, or even shoes to absorb unwanted smells.
